Insurance companies and credit information
You may not know but some insurance companies use credit information for your quotes. The reason is that they feel there is a direct correlation between expected claims that may occur from the insured and its credit history behaviors. Therefore, insurance companies feel that insured people with better credit behavior are less likely to have insurance losses.

Of course, many insurance companies are still using your age, type of vehicle, where you live, and driving history to determine how much you should pay for your insurance. Therefore, companies using credit history may probably not be best choice for you if you haven't yet  established a good credit history. Those companies may not allow you to be eligible for various interesting discounts, which could result in higher premiums. Of course, companies using credit scoring will still use other factors like (your age, driving history etc. . .) to help determining your premiums.
